Amietta The Angels' Rosé
Rosé is well and truly back in fashion, although for us it’s never been anything else. While some people will never forget the sweet Rosés of their youth (for better or worse), our style of Rosé is not at all sweet, but elegant, perfumed, complex and beautifully refreshing. This is the wine that has turned many of our customers into committed Rosé drinkers. Rosé is, of course, an excellent wine to drink when young, but the Amietta Rosé is made as a wine to age as well, with similar winemaking methods to a serious chardonnay. This wine will become more complex and interesting over the next 2 to 3 years. Rosé is a lovely wine to drink with pre-dinner nibbles at any time of year and is very food friendly. Try it with a light chicken dish, salads, smoked salmon or antipasto.

2009 Amietta The Angels' Rosé
This 'grown-up' wine is made in the style of the Rosés from the south of France. It has a food-friendly, slightly savoury palate showing berry fruits and roses with hints of briar, leaf and sandalwood. The wine is made from free-run juice pressed from our estate-grown Carmenère, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. Together these varieties produce our Angels' Share blend, and their name is echoed with The Angels' Rosé. The beautiful colour of this wine comes from Carmenère, a grape variety we have pioneered in Australia. It is an attractive, refreshing, long-flavoured and truly delicious wine.
